How to reconnect a disconnected VP3300BT?
How to reconnect a disconnected VP3300BT?
I establish a connection with the VP3300 Bluetooth device from an android app and all is well. I run some transactions and then I'm done. I come back 15 minutes later and I see the IDTECH framework called the "deviceDisconnected" method telling me the reader has been disconnected. How to I reconnect with the reader ? Do I have to scan for the device again and establish re-connection or is there a method/flow for reconnecting ?
The VP3300BT reader will go to sleep after 20 seconds of idling, to extend battery life. Its' NOT required to pair or scan the BT device for re-connectivity. You just need to push the power button on the side of the reader. The reader will re-connect to the device in about 15~30 seconds automatically. Once you receive the callback function "deviceconnected()", it should be good to go.
