How to Turn Off the Beeper on an Augusta or Augusta S

  1. Launch uDemo with the reader connected to a USB port on a PC; confirm that uDemo recognizes the reader in the Connection pane.
  2. Double-click KB Mode status under the Device tree and confirm in the Results pane that the reader is in either HID mode or QuickChip KB mode.
  3. Select the Send Data Command under the Device tree, select the Wrap NGA option, and enter the 78 53 01 12 04 01 00 00 00 command in the Hex Data pane.
  4. Select the Execute Command button below the COMMANDS pane and verify the Response HEX is 06 in the Results pane.

Note:

  1. To re-enable the beeper on the reader, send the 78 53 01 12 04 00 00 00 00 command with the same steps.
