My SREDKey or SecureKey displays "Key Not Injected" when I tried to manually enter the card number and swipe a card . How can I fix this?
PROBLEM: The SREDKey displays "Key Not Injected" when I tried to manually enter the card number and swipe a card
WHATS HAPPENING?: This problem indicates the unit does not have the encryption key injected, so it won't work with any financial cards. This is because the SREDKey is a PCI certified security device, it can only outputs the data in encrypted form. Without the encryption key being injected, it won't be able to encrypt and output any card data. Same with the non-PCI certified SecureKey.
SOLUTION: Please contact the supplier who you received the SREDKey or SecureKey from and request your specific payment processor's encryption key to be injected by a certified key injection facility. You can also contact your payment processor to find out if they have their designated key injection facility to get their key injected for you.
