How to check MiniSmart II Key status.
How to check MiniSmart II Key status.
The Question:
Is my MiniSmart II injected with a Key? Or, What keys are injected in my MiniSmart II
Steps:
Step 1: Run USDK Demo software (if you don't have it, you can find it in here)
Step 2: Follow below instruction
Step 3: Check your #6 Response HEX number (ex: 06 00 00 00 00 00 01). You will get back 7 bytes (14 characters) 06+PIN DUKPT Key+PIN Master Key+PIN Session Key+Data Encryption Key-MSR+Data Encryption Key-ICC+Remote Key Injection (RKI) Key. For the MiniSmart II only DEK-ICC and RKI-KEK are applicable. So, the 6th byte will show if a Data Encryption Key (DEK) is present (01) or not (00)
00 = Key NOT Present
01 = Key Present
