How to Configure the Date and Time on MiniSmart II?

Answer:

Without the local date and time set, merchants will not be able to process transactions. After loading a JSON configuration file to the MiniSmart II and SecureHead components, you must manually set the date and time for the planned merchant location.

Configuring the Date and Time

To set the date and time for the MiniSmart II/SecureHead Combo, complete the following steps in ID TECH’s DotNet SDK Demo (aka uDemo) application: 

1. From the Device menu for the MiniSmart II, select “Set Date/Time” and click Execute Command and make sure “Set Date Time Successful” shows up in the Results window.

2. Then double-click the “Get Date/Time” and confirm that the correct date and time are displayed in the Results window.
