For the Spectrum Pro (and for many ID TECH products) there are two firmware versions to be aware of:
The main version firmware version (simply referred to as the "firmware version") and the "extended firmware version". The extended firmware version will have the following pattern vX.XX.XX while the firmware version will be vX.XX. It is useful to know how to check the extended firmware version.
For the Spectrum Pro; with the reader connected, launch the dotNET SDK Demo. In the Device category, the Firmware Version command will return the main firmware version number. To check the "extended firmware version", send the "7623" command.
