How to connect VP3300 BT to iPhone/iPad using SDK demo app
After you download the ipa file that comes with our SDK package to your device. Here are steps for you to make the reader connected to your iPad/iPhone.
- Push the side power button to turn on the reader. (Note: to keep the reader in the pairing mode without entering into idle, you can connect your VP3300 BLE reader to a power source (but not a PC)
- On the Apple device>Settings -> Bluetooth -> ON
- Run the VP3300 demo app. if it shows an "Untrusted Enterprise Developer" message, go 4. otherwise, go 6
- settings -> General -> Device Management -> International Technologies -> select "Trust International Technologies ..." -> "Trust"
- run the demo app again.
- "Search for BLE Name".... and get the device name after the BLE DEVICE FOUND:
- Replace the "IDTECH-BTpay Mini or Enzytek SPS_S" on the top right side of the Demo with the device name found. The device name, by default, is "VP3300-xxxxx" where the "xxxxx" is the last 5 digits of the reader's serial number printed on the unit label located on the bottom of the unit.
- Tap the "Search for BLE Name" again and the blue colored connection status bar in the middle of the Demo will show "Connected"
- Tap the "Get Firmware Ver." or the "Get Serial #" to verify the information received in the data window below the blue bar.
- To go to the other Demo functions, swipe from the right to left on the top half of the Demo
