What would happen if the reader was commanded to Enter Low Power Mode while a card is already partially inserted?

Question:

What would happen if the reader was commanded to Enter Low Power Mode while a card is already partially inserted and any of the following happens:
a. Nothing - the card remains in the slot.
b. The card is withdrawn?
c. The card is fully inserted such that the card seated switch is activated?


Answer:

In all 3 scenarios above, the reader will go into the sleep mode as commanded. They won't wake up the reader. The reader can only be wake up when the front switch detects a card insertion.
