Q: My Augusta reader is currently working in KBQC mode and only takes the chip card by dipping the card into the chip slot, and it'll fall back to MSR only when it fails to read the chip. Can we enable the MSR for reading non-chip MSR-only cards (Non-bank cards)?

A: Follow the numbered steps shown in the screenshot below to enable MSR Auto Mode. You should then be able to swipe a non-chip card and get MSR data output.

When a chip card is swiped the first time, the reader beeps once without outputting any data. When swiping a chip card again, the reader lights up the chip slot LED to signal the user to dip the chip card instead of swiping.
