The ID Tech audio jack reader is supported as a mobile device on the iOS, Android, Windows mobile, and blackberry platforms.  There are also some limited specific offerings for the Windows and Linux platforms, as well as some special other support considerations in some custom designs.  As  As a card-reading device intended to be used with a dedicated mobile application, it has supported financial payment processing software offers, as well as other apps and services for loyalty, gift card, and ID badge scanning.  In a financial market which is post-EMV (Europay Mastercard, VISA) migration, it requires special considerations for new project development, and holds certain standing considerations within existing payment schemes.  Any financial market or application-task supporting magswipe reading from a payment card only offer can have present implications from the ID Tech audio jack reader such as the UniMag II and Shuttle devices.  The UniPay audio jack readers are presently compatible with any and every present global payment scheme which involves the use of cards, magstripe only, or chips otherwise, including specifically contact and contactess integrations covered within the scope of EMV.ID Tech has published myriad development materials supporting these various platforms and is still open to any new development, with consideration for the complete financial project scope, or else some non-financial inquiry with sufficient understanding.  At present, the two most ubiquitous platforms for the UniMag and some UniPay readers, iOS and Android, have free static demonstration apps available for some simple demonstration.
