An ID TECH encryption capable reader is able to read cards in many different encoding formats. With the encryption key injected and encryption (TEDS or AES) being activated, by default, it will output the data from a "financial card" encrypted. The criteria used to identify a card as a "financial card" is documented on page 20 & 21 of the ID TECH Encrypted Data Output Formats
