Problem
What would happen if the reader is commanded to Enter Low Power Mode while a card is already fully inserted (the card seated switch is activated) and any of the following happens:
a. The card is partially withdrawn?
b. The card is withdrawn and magnetic stripe data is read during withdrawal?
Answer
The VP5300 will go into the Sleep mode as commanded and remain in the Sleep mode. Neither of these two scenarios will wake up the reader. The VP5300 can only be waked up when the front switch detects a card insertion.
