How to Turn on the Device Manager on VP6825 or VP7200 Readers Using the SDK Demo App
The Device Manager on VP6825 and VP7200 readers is an on-screen menu that contains device information such as firmware version, serial number, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and LTE status, plus configurable options like Display, Sounds, and more.
Note that VP7200 readers must be connected to an LCD screen to use the device manager.
Before you begin, make sure you’ve downloaded and installed the SDK Demo app.
To turn on the device manager for VP6825/7200:
Open the SDK Demo app and connect the target device your computer.
Select Device → Send NEO Command.
Enter 64 in the Cmd field, 0F in the Sub field, and 01 in Hex Data box (as shown in the image below).
Hex Data 01 turns on the device manager and 00 turns it off.
Select Execute Command.
The results pane will display Send P2 Command successful.
On your device, press the top left corner of the LCD screen for three seconds to open the Device Manager will open.
