1. According to the spec, KioskV needs to support JCB, but JCB functionality is not available yet (as of 12/21/2022). See TS-29881. JCB L2 certification is in process and the LoA is expected to be available in July 2023
2. Per the development team, v1.00.163.2249 firmware only supports Apple ECP1.0, and the iPhone express feature is for Apple ECP2.0. The later version of Kiosk V firmware will support it. See TS-29875
3. For the Non-SRED Kiosk V, the PID will become 4650 when in Bootloader mode (with the main app being erased already when the FW upgrade got interrupted), when entered into bootloader from normal application mode, the PID will remain the same which should be 4691. (See TS-62461 and TS-33057)
4. Reboot command 77-05 does work with KV
5. Per engineering, there were only 2 types of project device trees for KioskV: with Bluetooth and without Bluetooth. (e.g. “K5_DT_PRJ_BT_V2“ is a project device tree that supports Bluetooth). Now there are 4 types of project device trees for KioskV: (see CS-5139)
A: USB-C (old HW) with Bluetooth
B: USB-C only (non-SRED) without Bluetooth
C: MI (new HW) without Bluetooth
D: MI with Bluetooth
6. KV doesn’t support waking up from the low power mode on tap. (See NEO3-6198)
7. When the KV is set to work in ABM with Interac (tag 9F58 = 01), based on the spec, the transaction amount (9F02) will be 00, and the actual transaction amount can be found from tag DFEC3A within the transaction payload
