Problem:

I was doing some tests with an RS232 interface SPT3-885-33-1NN0N-0C and sent the 5.4.6. Set Operation Mode [53 11] command with bit 0 set to 1, so the reader is in Plug&Play mode.

To get the RS232 interface reader out of the PCSC mode, please follow the instructions below:

1. Disconnect the power to the reader

2. Disconnect the cable from the reader

3. Solder a wire to short the pins as the picture shows here.

2. Reconnect the cable and power up the reader

3. Make sure the green LED will light up

4. Send the 30 11 01 01 via Demo and make sure you get a success feedback with "90 00" in the response

5. Now the device should be out of the PCSC mode. Test it in or Demo to confirm the unit is back to work

6. Power down the reader and remove the short cable. And remember not to set it to PCSC again
